There are a number of alpha-blockers for BPH available including Tamsulosin (Flomax), Doxazosin (Cardura), Terazosin (Hytrin), Silodosin (Rapaflo) and Alfuzosin(Uroxatral). There are also some herbal alternatives to alpha-blockers such as Pygeum Africanum, Saw palmetto, Beta-sitosterol, and Stinging nettle, if you wish to try natural alternatives. The other treatment for BPH is surgery where you can opt for either laser surgery or transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP).
