Asked 2 years ago

Good day all. My wife is starting to get worried that I might have diabetes because I constantly need to pee. She insists that I must go see a doctor. What do you guys think?

While it's true that increased urination may be a sign of diabetes, something else may be to blame. Your constant need to pee may also be due to kidney stones, a urinary tract infection, or prostate problems. The latter is especially common as men age and their prostate gland enlarges , causing problems with emptying the bladder. See your doctor if you continue experiencing frequent urination.

Excessive thirst and urination is a hallmark sign of diabetes. This is what happens when your blood glucose levels are too high, your kidneys have to work overtime to filter that glucose out of your system and consequently overproduces urine to filter it out. The problem occurs when water is extracted from tissue and cells in order to produce enough urine to filter your bloodstream.
