Could an enlarged prostate cause erectile dysfunction?
Asked 2 years ago
Hi, this is embarrassing, but could the enlarge prostate gland be why I am struggling to get a hard-on?

Yes, it could be.
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is the medical term for an enlarged prostate. This happens when tissues in the prostate enlargen and press on the urethra which is the tube that directs the flow of semen and urine. This could result in erectile dysfunction in some men. Additionally, some of the medication and treatment for BPH could also lead to problems maintaining an erection.
