Can I stop taking alpha-blockers?
Asked 2 years ago
Hi guys, I've been taking alpha-blockers for 3 months now and started experiencing drowsiness, headaches, and dizziness. I'm over these side effects. Is it possible to stop taking alpha-blockers for BPH?

You should not stop taking the alpha-blockers before speaking to your doctor. Sudden discontinuation of the medication may worsen the BPH symptoms you had before or may go on to cause further complications. It's advisable that you discuss the symptoms the alpha-blockers were causing with your doctor and see if they can wean you off the medicine or change the dosage.
