Is Cialis better than Tamsulosin for BPH?

Asked 2 years ago

I've been taking Tamsulosin for an enlarged prostate, but I've been struggling with the side effects like diarrhea, back pain, and sleeplessness. I cannot continue like this. Would Cialis help me to shrink my enlarged prostate without side effects?

While Cialis might seem a good option, it also causes side effects including headaches, muscle, and back pain as well as vision problems. However, Tamsulosin and Cialis aren't the only medications available to treat an enlarged prostate. The best thing to do is to discuss your side effects and concerns with your doctor and ask them to prescribe another medicine that's just as effective.

The difference between the two is that Tamsulosin is exclusively for BPH while Cialis is also used for treating erectile dysfunction. Cialis doesn't shrink the prostate and may cause diarrhea, headaches, dizziness, low blood pressure, blurred vision, and premature ejaculation, among other side effects. The best time of the day to take the recommended 5mg dose of Cialis is either in the morning or evening and it should be taken at the same time each day.
