Treating toenail fungus: How long should I leave garlic on for?

Asked 2 years ago

I think I have white superficial onychomycosis on my toenails, and I figured I'd try some natural remedies first before moving to over-the-counter medicine. First up is garlic, any idea how much I should use and how long I should leave it on for?

Garlic is known for its strong antifungal properties. To use it, chop up a clove of garlic and apply it to the affected toenail directly and leave it for about half an hour. Do this once a day for up to a week and check if there's any progress. If not, continue for a few days longer.

Garlic has both antimicrobial and antifungal properties, making it ideal for getting rid of toenail fungus. The best way to use it is to apply crushed or chopped garlic on the affected toenail once a day for 20 to 30 minutes for up to a week or so. You can also use an antifungal ointment to get rid of the infection quickly.
