Can I follow a plant-based diet to stop androgen production?

Asked 2 years ago

I am producing too much androgen and it's causing me to develop a lot of hair on my face, abdomen, etc. As a woman, this is making me feel very insecure.

Including certain foods in your diet can help you balance out the androgen your body is producing. This includes reducing refined foods and sugar and instead taking more vegetables and whole foods and high-quality proteins. You could also take green tea and herbs such as spearmint tea, licorice, white peony, nettles, or reishi mushroom. Additionally, you can boost your zinc by taking pumpkin seeds, lentils, chickpeas, mushrooms and avocados.
