Does removing your nail get rid of fungus?

Hi, I have been struggling with a nail fungus for some time now, and I am so over it. Will it go away if I just cut it out? Will my toenail grow back afterward?

While removing an infected toenail is one way to deal with toenail fungus,  this is only done in rare cases and usually as a last resort even by doctors.  A toenail can take up to 18 months to grow back and cutting it out should only be done by a qualified doctor. There are other ways of removing toenail fungus such as laser treatment that you could explore.
