How does dementia with lewy bodies typically progress?
Asked 2 years ago
Hello everyone. My sister has got LBD, and at the moment, she has been fraught with hallucinations and she has fallen once or twice. I've had to get a nurse in to help her. How long will this last?

LBD is a type of memory disorder that causes a progressive decline in mental faculty and sadly, it will get worse. Hallucinations and decline or changes in alertness or attentiveness are common symptoms and get worse as the dementia progresses. It often leads into more serious conditions like Parkinson's disease which has symptoms like walking difficulty, stiffness, limb rigidity and tremors. Unfortunately there is no known cure.
