Can the effects of dementia be slowed down?
Asked 2 years ago
Hello, is it all possible to slow down the progression of dementia? It's happening so quickly to my dear aunt, who is around 80 years old, and I want to do something to help.

Exercise and eating of brain foods like berries, fish or avocado are really the only way you can help. Dementia is the result of what happens when the brain begins to shut down, and neurological cell death occurs as a result. This process has no cure or reversal and really the only way neural pathways rebuild is during earlier childhood or early adulthood.
Getting the blood pumping oxygen into the brain with exercise and brain food is the only real way to reduce the effects, but sadly, there is no cure or way to reverse damage.
