Can exercise reverse dementia?

Asked 2 years ago

Would exercise help fire up the brain and build new neuron pathways, thereby reversing dementia?

No. It cant reverse it but it can very well reduce its effects or outright prevent it. Exercise keeps a steady blood flow, exercises heart, lungs and consequently the brain gets an increase in fuel and operating capacity. With this increase in fuel, the brain works harder, faster, receiving more oxygen and promoting cell growth.

Unfortunately it cant be reversed or cured, but its effects can be drastically lessened, so long as its done early before it progresses too far.
