Is a low-carb diet good for dementia?
Asked 2 years ago
I read that a diet change may help slow down or reverse the progression of dementia. Would it be beneficial for an elderly person with early-stage dementia to switch to a keto diet?

Yes actually, some doctors are starting to recommend Keto diets for Alzheimer's or dementia patients as a means to control it or slow its effects so long as its done early in diagnosis or treatment. It wont stop it completely or outright cure it, but patients will feel better and last a lot longer before the brain finally gives up.
Any diet heavy on fat and low on carbs will help, and Keto is the best option, at least for now.
