The proof is always in the pudding, and to find out how trustworthy a product is, customer reviews are the best place to gather true information about a product. There are a ton of Fungix™ customer reviews on Amazon as well as the Fungix™ website detailing how this remarkable product has provided relief from dreadful symptoms and eliminated fungal nail infections for good.

"This stuff works amazing! I had previously taken the antifungal medication that is so hard on your liver and it did nothing for my fungal infections I have use this and my fungal infection is almost totally gone One or two more clippings and it should be totally clear Remember to file your nailbed first gently and do that about once a week. My sister did not believe me and thought that it was just bleaching out my nail until she saw me. Now she is using it in her podiatrist told her the stuff is great. I would recommend this to anybody in the price is well worth it !!!!!!!" - Sandra Glidewell, Amazon Review
"I developed fungus on my toenails after living with and sharing a shower with someone who had this condition. I have been using this product for several years. I noticed improvement right away with the first bottle. I have probably ordered about 7 or 8 bottles in total. Eight of my nails are now completely fungus free. My two pinky toes are are about 98% better, so I will continue using this product until they are 100% healed. You must use this product at least twice a day every day for it to work well. Three times a day would probably be even better. It does take time for a complete healing, but it really does work if you are patient and consistent in using it. It is easy to apply and has no unpleasant side effects. It is certainly a better option in my opinion than dangerous prescription medication or painful laser treatments. I am really happy I found this product." - Leslie A. Hickcox, Amazon Review

"First I sincerely regret that I did not take a before picture as there is huge improvement in my toenail. I have had fungus in my big toe for over a decade my toenail was yellow and completely deformed. I started using this product in October 2018. While the fungus is still growing out almost all the yellow in the nail is gone and the deformation is also improved a lot! The tissue around my nail bed has also improved. I have tried other products and I also paid tons for the laser treatments that did nothing. This product is working and I am cautiously optimistic this may completely clear this embarrassing issue once and for all. To all the people who post reviews after 3 days or even a month saying it's not working it is ridiculous to think you would actually see improvement in that amount of time. Your whole toe nail has to grow out which takes up to a year. I will continue to apply this twice daily until it is completely gone (about another 6 months) and then I will still treat for a while after that. Here are my tips: 1) clip, buff and file your nail down as much as possible and often 2) Do NOT wear polish, I know this is hard because you want to cover it up but I personally will have bare toes all summer to continue seeing this improvement ( Note: my toe is cleared enough that I am not embarrassed to keep it bare, first time in 15 years) 3) You have to apply religiously twice a day 4) Give it at least 6 months before giving up, improvement is SLOW. 5) Take a darn before picture. This product is working awesome for me I hope to wright a review next fall saying it completely cleared my issue, if that's the case I will be scheduling my first ever pedicure!" - Paul Cal, Amazon Review
"It is critical to read and follow the directions. I had a fungal pinkie toe, it looked like a dead tree stump. I bought this and twice a day after I got out of the shower/ tub. I'd dry my foot take a medium/course nail board to the whole nail. Then apply fungix. Within a few weeks my toenail looked and was growing like a normal nail. I haven't had any problems since. This was over a year ago. I reordered because my husband has a toenail that keeps chipping and peeling so I am having him try this product. I swear if you use it correctly you won't be disappointed." - E Maximin, Amazon Review
"After 9 long years of trying every product on the market, this is the first time I am seeing positive results! This recent purchase is my 7th bottle of Fungix, and I will continue using it because it's working! I ended up with severe toe fungus after a pedicure visit at the spa. I won't take prescription medication because of the potential side effects so I tried everything I could find over the counter and finally came across this product - thankfully! For the first time, I actually believe my nails will be healthy once again!" - Ginny, Amazon Review

Fungix™ – A Simple Solution For A Common Problem

Fungal infections are nothing to be embarrassed about. There are billions of microbes lingering in our atmosphere and surrounding environment, and some of them just happen to be invasive fungi that are easily contracted by contact with people and everyday items. Nail fungal infections are more common than you think, in fact, they make up roughly 50% of abnormalities in the nail. Fortunately, there is an effective and simple way to eliminate invasive fungi before it turns into a more serious condition. It is important to decipher the difference between nail fungus and melanoma as well as the difference between nail fungus and psoriasis.

What Causes A Nail Fungus To Develop?

Fungal infections of the nail, also known as onychomycosis or tinea unguium, are caused by an overgrowth of microscopic organisms that flourish in humid, warm environments. When spores in the atmosphere land on receptive surfaces like the toe and fingernails, they begin multiplying, making it harder for the immune system to fight against the invasive microbes. The parasitic fungi feed off nail tissues, and eventually penetrates the nail bed. This causes the nail plate to discolor and thicken, and in some cases, it may cause the nail plate to lift from the nail bed. Both fingernails and toenails are susceptible to fungal overgrowth, however, toenail fungal infections are more prevalent because they are usually enclosed in shoes – the perfect warm and damp environment for fungi to thrive. You can read more about causes of fungal toenail infections here.

Fungal infections of the nail are highly contagious and can be contracted by coming into contact with someone who has a fungal infection or by touching objects and surfaces the infected person has also come into contact with. In some cases, nail fungus can even be brought on by fungi that already exists within the body.

You are more susceptible to developing a fungal infection of the nail if you:

  • Use communal showers or swimming pools without wearing protective shower shoes or flip flops.
  • Visit nail salons that don’t sanitize equipment before and after every client (nail files, cuticle clippers, etc).
  • Frequently wear closed-toe shoes like boots or running shoes.
  • Have injured your nail.
  • Have poor hygiene.
  • Are diabetic.
  • Are over 60.
  • Have a weakened immune system or poor circulation.

Men and athletes, especially those who are distance runners, are also more susceptible to contracting nail fungal infections due to excessive sweat and tight-fitting socks and shoes. Mature adults also have a higher risk of developing fungal infections of the nail because as we age our nails become brittle and start to crack, making it the perfect point of entry for microscopic spores to invade.

Common Types Of Nail Fungus And Their Symptoms

Toenails with onychomycosis, aka nail fungus, should be treated with Fungix™.

There are three different types of fungi that can cause an infection in the nail: yeasts, molds, and dermatophytes. These infections can affect a small part of the nail plate, the entire nail, or spread to several of the nails. Each fungus can bring on a few different types of symptoms but the most common symptoms to look out for are:

  • Nails that have become brittle and thick.
  • Nails that have become discolored.
  • An odor from the infected area.
  • Nails that have started to lift from the nail bed.

The most common kinds of fungal infections in the nail include:

Distal subungual onychomycosis

Distal subungual onychomycosis (DSO) is the most prevalent type of infection that is caused by dermatophytes fungi and can affect both finger and toenails. The infection usually starts at the tip of the nail bed and begins to spread across the nail plate. As the condition progresses, white or yellow streaks appear across the entire nail and eventually, it starts to crumble or split and separate from the nail bed. The amount of debris trapped under the nail can make it extremely uncomfortable, especially when wearing closed-toe shoes.

White superficial onychomycosis

White superficial (WSO) infections are the second most common type of fungi, which typically affects the toenails. The infection starts with chalk-like white spots in a few areas of the nail plate. Eventually, the spots cover the entire nail, making it brittle, flaky, and pitted in some areas. WSO doesn’t cause the nail to thicken or lift from the nail bed.

Candida onychomycosis

Candida can cause nail fungal infections.

Candida, which is the same pathogen that causes yeast infections can also cause nail infections. Candida is more prevalent in the fingernails and usually invades when the nails have been injured. The infection can affect one or several nails and usually starts in the cuticles, causing them to become swollen and inflamed. Candida can also cause the nails to turn green, brown, or yellow, and in some cases may cause the entire nail to separate from the nail bed.

Treating Fungal Nail Infections – What Are The Options?

There are a few effective treatments for toenail fungus, but usually oral or topical antifungal formulas are administered to reduce symptoms and strengthen the nail. In some worst-case scenarios, there is an option for laser treatment for nail fungus if the fungi has not reacted to the medication.

Topical ointments work to stop fungal infections for clean, healthy nails.

Many people try to act quickly against fungal infections to avoid surgery and other drastic measures by purchasing over the counter oral and topical medications to stop the spread of the fungi, however, depending on the formulations, some can take up to a year to work and others can make the infection worse. For example:

Oral antifungals and medicated creams – the most common ingredients found in these drugs are terbinafine, itraconazole, and griseofulvin. While some results have been reported in continued use over months, it comes with some consequences. There is a clear link between terbinafine and severe liver injury that has in some cases resulted in the patients requiring a liver transplant.

One study revealed that a healthy male patient with no previous medical conditions who had been prescribed a three-month course of terbinafine became jaundiced and experienced severe side effects such as dark urine, anorexia, weight loss, pruritus (itching), and myalgias (medicine induced muscle aches). The patient was later admitted to undergo an orthotopic liver transplantation.

There are several other cases that have reported acute liver damage linked to terbinafine use. Other common side effects of these ingredients include skin rash, burning sensation on and around the infected nail, headaches, dizziness, unpleasant taste in the mouth, impotence, hair loss, and changes in menstrual cycles. During oral drug treatment, patients may require frequent blood tests to monitor the effect these drugs have on the system. Oral treatments have been found to have limited success and are associated with a higher risk of infection recurrence.

Medicated nail polish – colorless antifungal nail polishes are usually the first treatment option for many, however, the nail needs to be filed down as much as possible before applying the lacquer. Filing the nail plate can be painful and extremely sensitive… women who have had a botched manicure are well aware of how uncomfortable and painful it is when the nail has been over buffed. Ciclopirox and amorolfine are the most common ingredients found in these antifungal formulas. Side effects associated with these two ingredients can worsen the condition and cause further discomfort rather than treating the infection. Common side effects include itching, rashes, skin redness, nail discoloration, changes to the nail plate and cuticle, burning, dry skin, and deformation of the nail.

Due to these negative side effects, many people try to avoid these synthetic antifungals and turn to natural anti-fungal formulas combined with healthier hygiene habits. With the thousands of ingredients, brands, and doses, it can be difficult to find one that delivers on its claims by diminishing the fungus and alleviating the symptoms.

Fungix™, which is manufactured by Approved Science®, is a chart-topper when it comes to natural nail fungus solutions and it has the science to back it up.

Fungix™ Reviews – Why It’s The Leading Natural Nail Fungus Formula

Fungix™ combines the power of nature with the ingenuity of science to effectively combat the cause of the fungi, inhibit the further spread of the infection, and heal any damage caused by symptoms. The dual-action formula contains a powerful blend of scientifically proven natural ingredients to soothe and rehydrate nails without the common side effects caused by synthetic antifungals. The secret behind the fungi fighting properties is a 25% concentration of Undecylenic Acid, which has proven to be effective against yeasts, molds, and dermatophytes.

Fungix™ is the only natural nail fungus formula on the market that contains a 25% concentration of Undecylenic Acid plus supporting ingredients like Tea Tree Oil, a unique essential oil blend, Tocopheryl Acetate and more to penetrate deep into the nail bed and eliminate fungi at the source all while restoring the finger and toenails back to their natural color and thickness. These natural ingredients have been in use for their medicinal properties long before the turn of the century, and continue to outshine many of their synthetic counterparts, but don’t just take our word for it, see what the science has to say.

The Science Behind Undecylenic Acid And Fungal Nail Infections

Undecylenic Acid is one of the most potent antifungals found in nature. It is an unsaturated fatty acid that is derived from castor oil and is naturally present in the human body, namely in human sweat, which means that our bodies are able to tolerate it naturally without irritating the skin.

Fungix™ reviews: Top formula containing undecylenic acid.

Undecylenic Acid has been used over the past few decades in the food and medical industry because of its ability to inhibit the activity of yeast and fungi. Medicinal use dates back as early as WWII when Undecylenic Acid was administered and proved to be effective against Athlete’s Foot (tinea pedis, the same fungi that cause infections in the nail). This 2016 study published in The International Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics also shows that it is extremely effective at inhibiting fungal growth.

As we mentioned before candida is one of the main culprits behind fungal infections in the nail, Undecylenic Acid helps to stop this fungus in its tracks by inhibiting its enzymatic activity, which helps to prevent the candida cells from becoming pathogenic.

Fungix™ Reviews: The Natural Supporting Ingredients

The well rounded Fungix™ formula doesn’t just contain powerful antifungal properties but also contains a unique blend of natural supporting ingredients to alleviate pain and address the symptoms caused by yeast, mold, and dermatophyte infections. (Read more about the difference between nail mold and nail fungus here.) Each of these natural ingredients was carefully selected by a team of medical doctors and renowned scientific researchers, based on clinical data and superior references, designed to eliminate nail fungus and promote healing faster than any other treatment currently available.

Tea Tree Oil

Derived from the melaleuca tree, Tea Tree Oil has been in use for its therapeutic and medicinal properties since the early 1920s. The entire tea tree oil industry started because it exhibited potent antiseptic properties. A 2006 review published in Clinical Microbiology Reviews discusses the data supporting the antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties found in Tea Tree Oil. The oil is also beneficial for soothing discomfort and pain in the nail bed and surrounding nail folds.

Aloe Vera

One of the most commonly used medicinal herbs, Aloe Vera has proved successful in addressing many disorders of the skin. This remarkable plant helps to soothe irritation and promote rapid wound healing. A 2015 study published in BioMed Research International titled ‘The Review on Properties of Aloe Vera in Healing of Cutaneous Wounds’ observes the therapeutic and healing mechanisms of Aloe Vera. It has shown that the potent succulent helps to improve wound healing by stimulating the activity of fibroblasts and improving the secretion and production of collagen.

Walnut Oil

Walnuts contain high levels of polyunsaturated oils which help to reduce inflammation. A 2013 study published in The Journal Of Nutrition showed how walnut oil helps improve endothelial function, which is responsible for inflammation of the blood vessels.

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba is an odorless substance that is found in many cosmetic products because of how easy it is absorbed into the skin and for its moisturizing properties that help to keep the skin hydrated. A 2011 study published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology shows that Jojoba Oil also helps to accelerate skin repair and wound healing.

Tocopheryl Acetate

Tocopheryl Acetate is a highly absorbable form of Vitamin E that helps to maintain skin hydration and restore healthy skin tone. A 2014 study found success with wound healing when treating burn victims with Tocopheryl Acetate.

Menthol

An extract derived from mint plants which is known for its cooling effects. It provides analgesic relief and acts as an anti-inflammatory. A 2013 study published in Mini Reviews in Medicinal Chemistry, explains how Menthol works to engage GABA receptors which result in analgesia. This means that it delivers complete pain-free relief.

Camphor Oil

This compound is derived from the Cinnamomum camphora tree. Camphor acts as a natural anti-itching agent and helps to reduce swelling in the skin. It also acts as a topical anesthetic that numbs nerve endings, which helps to reduce any pain and discomfort. A 2005 study published Journal of Ethnopharmacology has noted that camphor oil delivers potent anti-inflammatory effects by suppressing the production of various cytokines (peptides that play an important role in cell signaling).

Clove Bud Oil

Clove Bud Oil is one of the most effective natural analgesics – nature’s very own painkiller. Research has shown that Clove Bud Oil has proven to be more effective for relieving dental pain than any most over the counter oral anesthetics. The aromatic bud also acts as a potent antiseptic agent. Additionally, a 2007 study published in Mycobiology found Clove Bud Oil to have extremely effective antifungal properties.

Lavender Oil

Lavender oil to treat nail fungus.

Long used in the cosmetic industry, the antibiotic properties of this oil were only recently discovered. A 2011 study published in the Society for General Microbiology, showed that Lavender Oil has extremely powerful antifungal effects against common skin infections. This essential oil works by damaging the cell membranes of fungal cells, which ultimately destroys them, making it easier to completely eliminate the fungus from the infected area.

Manuka Oil

Manuka Oil is another common ingredient found in cosmetic products to help soothe skin irritation and inflammation. The oil contains triketones, an antifungal that also promotes the multiplication of critical healing cells. In addition to its potent healing properties, a 1999 study published in Die Pharmazie found that Manuka Oil also demonstrated highly effective antibacterial properties.

Essential Oil Blend

A combination of beneficial oils that assist the antifungal compounds in penetrating the skin. They include: Mineral Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Organic Flaxseed Oil, Canola Oil, Chia Oil, and Lemongrass Oil.

A 2012 review published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science, discussed studies on Mineral Oil and its proven efficacy in softening skin and improving skin barrier function.

A 2010 study titled “The Uses and Properties of Almond Oil,” delineates many health benefits of Sweet Almond Oil. Because it is packed with vitamins such as Vitamin E and Vitamin A, as well as many fatty acids, it has been used for centuries in Chinese medicine and Ayurveda to smooth and rejuvenate skin.

A 2011 study published in Skin Pharmacology and Physiology has found that Flaxseed Oil significantly reduces sensitivity in the skin and helps to combat dry skin and scaling thanks to its hydrating properties.

A 2015 study published in the Journal of Food Science and Technology observed the efficiency of Chia Oil as a skin curative. The study found that Chia Oil significantly improved skin hydration in patients suffering from pruritus brought on by renal disease.

A 2014 study published in The Libyan Journal of Medicine concludes that Lemongrass Oil should be included in treatments for fungal infections and skin inflammation due to its potent anti-Candida activity.
