How do you stop DHT at the root of the hair follicle?

My doctor told me that my body produces excessive amounts of DHT and that it's the cause of my hair loss. Is there any shampoo or topical treatment I can use that will block the DHT and regrow it?

The best way to stop DHT and hair loss is to reduce DHT production right from the source inside your body. While some shampoos claim to help block DHT, they aren't very effective because you have to wash them away. There are DHT blocking medications available including Finasteride and Dutasteride which are prescription-only and Minoxidil, an OTC medicine. Alternatively, you could take supplements such as saw palmetto or fo-ti to stimulate hair regrowth.
