What is the Ginkgo Biloba dosage for treating hair loss?
Asked 2 years ago
I have Alopecia areata, and while hoping it would cure itself, the number of bare patches on my scalp has increased. I now wear a scarf or a wig to cover up my shame. I'm hoping that a supplement such as Ginko Biloba will be able to treat it and help me regrow my hair. Any idea how much I should be taking?

Ginkgo Biloba is effective for hair regrowth since it stimulates blood circulation in the scalp. To help treat alopecia, the recommended dose is 60-240 mg daily taken orally for up to 6 months. Some also recommend taking 40-120 mg of ginkgo biloba 3 times daily. If you're unsure about the dosage, check the directions on the label of the supplement or consult a doctor/naturopath.
