What does vitamin C do to collagen?
Asked 2 years ago
One of my favourite skin and beauty gurus has started advertising a collagen powder that contains high doses of vitamin C. Is this combination beneficial? What exactly does vitamin C do to collagen?

Taking vitamin C together with collagen is beneficial. Vitamin C is vital for the health of your skin, and blood vessels and also to boost your immune system. It is also useful in encouraging the growth of new collagen in the body. If you take the two together, vitamin C will help protect the collagen from damage and help you maintain the collagen your body already has.
