Is broccoli good for the brain?

Asked 2 years ago

Hello, the last thing I want to put my children through is me with dementia or some other neurodegenerative disease. Is broccoli one of those recommended foods for memory and brain function?

Yes it is actually, broccoli is chock-full of anti-oxidants and brain fueling vitamin C and flavonoids. It also contains compounds called glucosinolates which the body processes further and results in a lowered risk of neuro-degenerative diseases. Broccoli also is known to improve memory, improve blood flow and is well known as being one of the top ten ultimate brain foods.

Yes, broccoli is good for the brain. It is an excellent source of vitamin K which is known to boost brain power and promote cognitive function. It's also a great source of sulforaphane which has both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. This means that broccoli will not only prevent neurodegenerative diseases but also rebuild damaged nerve cells in the brain.
