Yes, it is. Research by the University of Toronto revealed that being absent-minded could be a sign of greater intelligence. This and other studies suggest that the brain decides to focus only on important things to optimize problem-solving and decision-making. By deciding to forget unimportant details, the brain creates room for things that matter.

Absent mindedness and Intelligence sometimes go hand in hand. Its the process of the brain seemingly forgetting trivial things to make room for more pertinent information. Its a sign that your brain might be reworking itself to focus on only the important stuff like driving better, at the expense of not being able to find your car keys.

Yes, it is possible. Absentmindedness has long been associated with geniuses, scientists, and the like, and with good reason. Studies have shown that having an absent mind might actually be a sign of intelligence. Your brain simply decides to forget what it considers unimportant things and makes room for more important ones. This maximizes your problem-solving abilities and may be a sign of greater intellectual and creative abilities.
